Will your High School course-work and other activities give others the impression that you want to go to college? Introduce yourself to your High School counselor and ask about going to college. Review your schedule together to make sure you're signed up for the classes and extracurricular activities that will help you get into college. Start to think about what colleges you might want to attend. Learn about college. Talk to someone who's been to college.

Register for the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT), which is given in October. Many students qualify to take the PSAT for FREE. See the College Board website for more information, and start studying for the PSAT and SAT.
