What are your skills and talents? Start developing goals to help enhance these qualities.

Research the colleges you're interested in. Start a list of all the schools you would like to attend.

College costs money, so it's a good idea to start planning on how to pay for it. Financial Aid is the most common means of affording college. Talk to your parents about preparing to go to college and find out how much aid you might qualify for at any UT system college by using the early awards calculator.

Take a practice PSAT test. You can get a copy in your guidance counselor's office. Take the PSAT exam at the end of October. Many colleges and foundations use PSAT results when they award scholarships, and registering and taking the PSAT exam lets schools know who you are.
