Make sure your parents have completed their income tax forms. You'll need them to complete financial aid applications.

Complete and submit your college financial aid application and the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) between January 1 and March 1.

Explore other financial aid options such as scholarships and low interest education loans. A college degree can be worth over 1 Million Dollars in increased earnings over your lifetime, so a low interest college loan can be an excellent investment in your future.

In order to be considered for financial aid, you will need to submit these forms even if you have not yet been notified of your acceptance to the college(s) to which you applied.

Request that your high school send your official transcripts to the colleges to which you are applying.

Contact the admissions office(s) of the college(s) to which you have applied to make sure that your information has been received, and that they have everything they need from you. Some schools will not consider "late" applications, and all materials must be received by the application deadline.
